I noticed the child of the islands/ocean didn't really have anything in the sheets, so I figured I'd try to earn it. Sims 4 - How to gain every trait through Self Discovery (WIP) I've linked it below if you'd like to take a look. The more data there is the more certain I can be about how to trigger it on demand. I'll try and keep the sheet updated as I find more reports and as I complete tests myself, and if you found this thread and have more to report feel free to share it here or over PM, even if some of it has been reported before, especially for some of the ones that can take longer to appear. It also contains possible things to try and other tips, as well as some other findings I've made about the Self Discovery mechanics. Also if you have any ideas about what to try for certain traits, and what traits I should start with to test things out, I'd love to hear them.ĮDIT: Thank you all so much for your valuable data, I've compiled all the reports so far into a spreadsheet for anyone that finds it helpful but also for my own progress tracking. I'd love to hear what traits you've all been able to discover and how they were triggered? I'll likely try and replicate it as well as see if there are other ways to trigger them. Maybe it's something to do with earning collectibles? I wonder if that was because it's a new skill, or fishing in particular that is considered to be "adventurous". I also fish for the first time with a sim and the game prompted to give that Sim the Adventurous trait pretty quickly. I declined the first time but it wasn't long before the game gave me the option to self discover Active again. So far I've seen the Active trait pop up when I used the workout machine. ![]() ![]() ![]() There are traits like Lazy which I imagine would be fairly straightforward, but I'm particularly curious what it would take to gain some less obvious traits like Erratic. I know the pack is still new so not a lot of info is available and the devs might still be tweaking this new feature, still I want to try. I've seen several posts on here and some traits like Active and Cheerful seems to pop up pretty quickly, but I've yet to see many other trait being gained, both on here and in my own usual gameplay. I want to do some experiments on the self discovery feature to see what it would require to gain every trait that's available in the game.
